Welcome to Semester 2!
We are excited to kick off a fresh semester with all of you! As we dive into new opportunities for growth, learning, and success, let's make it a goal to start strong and finish stronger.
Stay in the Know
The HHS Daily Bulletin is your go-to source for all announcements, activities, and updates at HHS. Be sure to check it daily to stay informed: HHS Daily Bulletin.
Get Involved This Semester
The start of a new semester is a perfect time to get involved! Students who participate in extracurricular activities experience amazing social and academic benefits. We have a variety of clubs, teams, and groups to choose from—there’s something for everyone. Check out your options and sign up here: Involvement Opportunities.
Semester Grades and Transcripts
Final grades, including exam results, have been updated in Infinite Campus. These grades will soon be posted to transcripts, along with an updated GPA calculation. We’re proud of all the hard work students put in last semester and are here to support continued success in Semester 2.
Tutoring Opportunities
As new classes begin, remember to ask for help early and often if you need support. Tutoring is available in the Book Nook during lunch and after school:
Monday (3:05–4:05 PM): Math & Health
Tuesday (3:05–4:05 PM): Science & English
Thursday (3:05–4:05 PM): English & Spanish
Take advantage of these resources to stay on track and excel in your courses!
Show Your School Spirit
Let’s come together to show our HPS pride and support our student-athletes at the many sporting events happening this semester! Follow Holland Athletics for the full schedule of games and meets: Holland Athletics Schedule. Bring your energy and help cheer on our teams to victory!
MAP Growth Testing
MAP Growth testing will take place in English and Math classes during the week of January 13. This assessment is a valuable tool for monitoring student progress and refining our instructional practices at HHS. We encourage students to give their best effort, as the data helps us improve teaching and learning experiences across the school.
Spring Conferences
Mark your calendars for Spring Conferences on February 13 & 18! These conferences will follow a pre-scheduled, student-led format. Look for communication from your student’s Advisory teacher in the coming weeks to help prepare for these important conversations.
Pastries and Principals
On December 19, we hosted our first Pastries and Principals event, where families joined us to discuss school climate and culture. We celebrated our strengths and identified meaningful areas for growth. Two more Pastries and Principals events are planned this semester, with varied times and formats to engage even more families. To review feedback from the first session, click here: Feedback Summary.
Let’s make this semester one to remember! We’re excited to see all the great things our students will accomplish. Thank you for being part of the Holland High School community.
