Four HMS Students Qualify for National History Day State Competition
Holland Middle School has four 8th graders that have qualified for the National History Day State competition at Central Michigan University on April 20.
Our students will be representing Holland Public Schools in the following categories:
- Annie Lou Howell: Individual Documentaries, "The Oberlin-Wellington Rescue"
- Reese Weeks & Ashlyn Depoy: Group Website, "Eliminating Excruciating Procedures"
- Lexi Gibson: Individual Exhibit, "The Barbie Revolution"
These students are carrying on a long tradition of academic excellence at Holland Public Schools. The results state competition will determine if they will represent the state of Michigan at the national competition in College Park, Maryland on June 10-13. We are very excited about our prospects!
