Commencement 2021 | May 25, 2021 at Holland Civic Center

Important Information for Graduates and Families.
- CHAIRS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR GRADUATES - EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD BRING A LAWN CHAIR.
- PARK IN THE NORTH / 7TH STREET OF CIVIC CENTER. FAMILY SEATING IN THE SOUTH LOT OF CIVIC CENTER
- GRADUATES SHOULD ASSEMBLE IN MARKETPLACE (NORTH SIDE OF CIVIC CENTER) NO LATER THAN 630.
- GRADUATES MUST PICK UP A PACKET PRIOR TO PARTICIPATING IN COMMENCEMENT. (TUESDAY 10-12 AND 3-5 AT HIGH SCHOOL)
- 1PM REHEARSAL AT CIVIC CENTER
GRADUATES: What you need to know:
Packet Pickup (this is required for participation at commencement)
- Oval drive at HHS- 10 am - 12 pm or 3 pm - 5 pm
Rehearsal (highly suggested but not mandatory)
- 1 pm at the Civic Center
Parking
- 7th street/North Side of Farmer's Market
- Lot opens at 5:30pm
Line up
- Arrive NO LATER than 6:30 pm
- Meet in the Marketplace on the Norht Side of the Civic Center
Seating
- A seat/chair is provided for each graduate
Rain- The show will go on rain or shine.
- Inclement weather will be the only factor that cancels the ceremony so bring an umbrella.
Guests-
- up to 5 guests, not including you
- guest must bring their own chair
Parents/Families - What you need to know:
Packet Pickup- (this is required for participation in commencement)
- may be picked up by student or parent/guardian
- HHS oval drive- 10 am - 12 pm or 3 pm - 5 pm
Parking-Each family will have at least one parking pass for the north lots (included in student packet- see above);
- enter using 7th street entrances
- North lots open at 5:30 pm
- Overflow parking available in the public parking lot located on the corner of 9th street and Pine ave.
Seating-
- bring your own chair; chairs will not be provided for guests
- remain in family/guest pods; social distance from other pods
- remain seated; DO NOT approach the graduates until the ceremony concludes and the students are dismissed
Guests-
- 5 guests or fewer not including the graduate;
- additional parking passes DOES NOT increase the amount of guests allowed.
- This is a school event gathering which requires us to adhere to the current MDHHS End-of-Year event guidance.
Ceremony starts at 7 pm and can be live streamed. A link will be available on the district webstie homepage.
Weather-
- rain or shine; commencement will only be canceled for inclement weather
- Bring an umbrella
Translation- the event will be translated in live time. A limited amount of headsets will be available to those who prefer to listen in Spanish. Please see a parking lot attendant for a headset.
