M-STEP testing at Jefferson is off to a great start! This year, students will be able to earn special Testing Rockstar tickets that can be used in our Power H Store or be used to enter a fun raffle for special prizes. Please review the testing schedule and tips for helping your student that are shared below.
Our Spring PBIS celebration is Tie Dyeing Socks! Each classroom has to collect 200 Power H tickets to earn this reward. Students earn Power H Tickets for following our POWER expectations. POWER stands for Pride, Own Your Actions, Wise Choices, Engaged, and Respect. We are in need of volunteers and donation supplies for this event. Please consider checking our Sign-Up Genius Sock Tie-Dye List: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D4EADA728A6FD0-spring
Spring Cleaning– As you begin Spring Cleaning projects, instead of throwing unused items away, consider bringing them to Jefferson. We can use the following for the playground: Basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, sand toys, hula hoops, soccer goals, and other outdoor play items. Thanks!!
Save the date for Thursday, May 22!! This is the evening of our Jefferson Carnival. The carnival will be a celebration of the behavior improvement and learning we have done over the course of this year. We are looking for individuals who are interested in helping plan and coordinate the event. The next meeting is Thursday, April 25 at 3:45 PM. We will meet in Jefferson’s library.
As always, please contact our administrative team with any questions or concerns!
Warmly,
Sara Folkert, Principal
Jennifer Heinritz, Assistant Principal

Tulip Time Parade
Jefferson students in grades 1 - 5 are invited to represent our school in this year’s KinderParade. The KinderParade will be held on Thursday, May 8. Students will be bussed from Jefferson to the parade beginning point. Parents will be given a designated pick-up location to meet students after the parade. In order to march, your child must have a permission slip and costume. Both can be found at this link: https://www.hollandpublicschools.org/pub/news/posts/3162
