Home Football Games - Reminder of Rules and Expectations

As Holland High School prepares to host the last home football game of the season, here is a reminder about some of the rules and expectations for students and families who attend the game:

  • Middle school age and younger MUST be an accompanied by an adult
  • No student backpacks
  • No re-entry for any spectators
  • All school rules apply to events held at Hope College.
  • The stadium and parking lot is a drug free school zone which includes any vape products.

Holland will host Godwin Heights at the Hope College Stadium, Friday at 7pm. #GoDutch

We encourage all our fans to cheer loudly, stay positive, and support our athletes and officials with good sportsmanship—whether we’re at home or visiting other schools. Here’s why this approach makes all the difference:

  • Our athletes perform their best when they’re able to focus on the game. Keeping the energy positive in the stands helps them stay in the moment and give their all on the field.
  • Good sportsmanship reflects well on Holland and sets a great example for our students.
  • Being positive makes the experience more enjoyable for everyone—your fellow fans will appreciate it, too!
  • Even when calls don’t go our way, keeping a calm and respectful attitude helps us all stay focused on what matters most: supporting our team and having fun.
  • Our referees work hard to ensure fair play, and showing them respect helps keep the game moving smoothly. Remember, we need them to continue officiating, and treating them well contributes to a positive sports culture.

Most importantly, your child knows your voice and looks to you for support. They thrive when they hear their parents cheering them on, and that positive energy boosts their confidence and experience on the field.
