2nd Annual Spring Championship

Holland High Summer School (credit recovery) will begin on Monday, June 24, and be condensed into a 5-week program. Students will receive a Chromebook to work from home and can stay an extra hour each day if they choose. Rest assured, students will still have ample time to complete their courses. 

• Summer Learning at West Elementary will continue as scheduled.
• Summer Sports Camps will include frequent water breaks and have safety guidelines in place. 
• Sports Performance will continue on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8-10am. 
• Summer Breakfast & Lunch program at HHS will be in session.
• All other camps will proceed as scheduled.  

All other HPS events in other buildings will continue as scheduled.

The air conditioning at Holland High School is currently not working and temperatures have risen to the mid-80s inside the building.   With outside temperatures being warmer tomorrow, we are going to cancel all events held inside HHS for Monday, June 17.  

This includes:

• Summer Learning
• Sports Performance
• Volleyball Camp
• Basketball Camp
• Cross Country camp will still take place as scheduled.  

Events in all other buildings will take place as scheduled. 

Please stay cool and hydrated.      

We will send out a message tomorrow about events for Tuesday.  

HPS will provide FREE Breakfast and Lunch to ALL children under 18 in the district through out the summer.

Jenifer Jongekryg is a teacher at Holland High School.  Thanks to an anonymous donation from a family in the city and to the support of the Holland Educational Foundation, she and her husband (who also works at Holland High) will get $25,700 toward the down payment of a home in the Holland area as a part of Teachers Live Here!

There's a sports camp for every kid this summer at Holland Public Schools. 

• Run by HPS coaches with assistance from Varsity athletes 
• Everything from learning-the-basics to practicing game skills

Alba jumped a personal record of 5'3'' and took 5th place in the High Jump at the State Track and Field meet!

Also setting personal records at the meet:

• Senior Madalyn Daniels ran a PR of 26.19 in the 200m Prelims.
• Freshman Miona Rodgers ran a PR of 26.33 in the 200m Prelims.
