Holland Forensics: The Holland High Forensics team competed in the Best of the West tournament at Portage Central High School on Saturday, March 21. Chaza Ben, Leila Sundararajan, Annie Lou Howell, and Jaslynn Campos brought home trophies for ranking in the top 6 for their individual events! We are proud of our HHS Forensics Team and their achievements!

The Vocal Dimensions Show: The Holland High School Vocal Dimensions would like to invite and encourage you to attend their Opening Night performance this Thursday, March 26th. The show starts at 7:00, and the theme this year is Legends and Icons! You will not want to miss this high-energy performance from our students! E Sports: Tomorrow, Friday, March 27, we will be hosting a Super Smash Bros. tournament during lunch. Students must sign up by March 26 in order to participate. The sign-up link will be shared in the daily announcements. The West Michigan Juried High School Art Exhibit: This year's DEBUT 2026 Exhibition begins March 19th and goes until April 25th, with a reception and awards ceremony on March 26th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Holland Area Arts Council. Holland artists being exhibited are: Cassidy Russell, Abby Hart, Lexi Gibson, Maya Vanderploeg, Harper Schoon-Tanis, Keoni Gainey, Ava O'Harris, Mark Jordan, Jordan Garcia, Annie Lou Howell, Hector Zuniga, Mari Price, Liz Ferral Carrilo, and Owen Baer.

Rotary Club: The Holland Rotary Club is focusing on bringing awareness to world hunger, and how to help, so the club has decided to have a competition between the advisory classes to go along with the dogeball tournament to get more kids to participate. Rotary Club is going to place a giant cardboard box in each class, where kids can place canned food, which will later be donated to Kids Food Basket. The winner will be announced at the dodgeball tournament, and the next Wednesday will receive a prize of donuts from DeBoers.

Women's Track and Field: On a beautiful spring evening, the girls' track team beat Whitehall and lost to Reeths-Puffer. Taking first places for Holland were Miona Rodgers in the 100m (13.16) and 200m (28.13), Lizbeth Ferral Carrillo in the 400m (1:06.53), Nayeli Trevino in the 800m (3:46.35), Amari Copado in the 100m Hurdles (20.00) and Long Jump (14-4), Lauren Rosales in the 300m hurdles (57.93), Makayla Clark in the Shot put (27-0), Sage Moes in the Pole Vault (6-6), the 4x200 Relay team of Ano Mangwiro, Lizbeth Ferral Carrillo, Aliah Garcia and Avionna Harris (2:03.77), the 4x400 Relay team of Claire Smith, Sage Moes, Lauren Rosales and Lizbeth Ferral Carrillo (5:21.17) Taking second place was Saniya Harshaw in the 100m (13.55) and 200m (31.03), Nayeli Trevino in the 1600m (8:16.20), Lauren Rosales in the 100m hurdles (20.78), Makayla Clark in the Discus (71-5), Claire Smith in the Long Jump (14-0) Third place finishers were Aliah Garcia in the 200m (31.04), Sage Moes in the 400m (1:13.30), Aaliyah Harris in the 100m hurdles (22.04) and 300m hurdles (1:08.05). The girls are now 1-1 with their next meet after Spring Break.

Men's Track and Field: The Holland Boys' Track and Field team lost to Reeths-Puffer to open the season, but the meet showed a number of bright spots.  Sophomore Tray Knox and Junior Darius Hawkins led the Dutch in scoring with 9.25 points each.
