Be Nice. Week: This Friday night, the women's and men's varsity basketball games are Be Nice. games. Come out and find out more about Be Nice. The second part of the be nice action plan is to INVITE. Invite yourself to say something and have a conversation about changes you have noticed in someone else. By doing so, you help others feel seen, valued, and supported - and in some cases, that simple act of kindness could save a life.

National Art Honor Society: There will be a National Art Honor Society meeting during A lunch on Wednesday, Jan 14.  Please plan to grab your lunch and meet in Mrs. Sligh's room! Meeting minutes will be posted after for those of you who are in B lunch.

Lunch Game Room: There is a new official game room in room J1831 by the bathrooms that will be open to everyone for both lunches. There are board games, digital phone games, and handheld systems. Check it out during lunch.

Snowcoming: The annual Snowcoming Dance is coming up! Join us Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 8:00–11:00 PM at the Holland Civic Center. Tickets are $15 for HHS students and $20 for non-HHS guests and can be purchased at hhsdances.ludus.com or in the SSO before/after school or during lunch beginning Monday, January 31. Ticket sales close promptly at 3:15 PM on Friday, January 30. All non-HHS guests must submit a completed Guest Pass to the SSO by 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28.

The Holland Formal Wear Shop: The Free Formal Wear Shop is open to anyone who needs some nice clothes for SnoCo. The shop is located outside the SSO. Feel free to look around before and after school and during lunch!

Women's Tennis: Women's Tennis head coach Annika Williams will be holding workouts after school on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Workouts will begin after school Wednesday, January 21. Students should meet in the upstairs area of the commons. 

Speed Training: Attention, athletes. Starting next week, there will be winter speed workouts every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:10 - 3:50 pm led by track coaches.  If you are looking to improve in any sport, speed always helps!  Bring a friend. We will meet in the "Upper Deck" of the Commons.  Go Dutch!

Men's Basketball: The men's varsity team fell to Zeeland East 56-47.Luca Borema and Josiah VanHekken both had 12 points for the Dutch (5-7, 1-2 OK Black). “Our guys played really hard, and I’m proud of our fight and how we defended. We were down 3 with under 2 minutes to go, and Zeeland made some big shots, big plays, and all of their free throws down the stretch. They are a good team,” Holland coach Andrew Meeuwsen said.

Women's Basketball: Holland battled through injuries in the Dutch Dome on Tuesday night, eventually falling to the Zeeland East Chix 59-17. The Dutch were led by Miona Rogers with 8 points while Jinae Brandon added 6. "We are learning to play new positions and fighting through some adversity at the moment. I'm proud of the girls' never quit attitude," said Coach Telgenhof.
