Today's Announcements

MAP TESTING

Today we will take our spring MAP test to see how students have grown from the fall in reading.  We've already had MSTEP and PSAT, but this is the one we get data on immediately so we can put plans in place to help support students.  To help with motivation, we will have a reward day for any student that grows in their reading map test.

PBIS

Please remember to get those DUTCH tickets into the boxes in the lunchroom if you would like a chance to win one of this month’s baskets. The drawing and announcement will be tomorrow at the end of the school day! Good luck.

There will be a pop-up shop during lunch on Friday as well. If you have DUTCH tickets, you are welcome to spend them at the store tomorrow.

BE NICE WEEK

As you learned in Advisory yesterday, this is Be Nice week.  Today, the Coping Toolbox Tuesday is all about using fidgets as a coping strategy.  As part of Be Nice Week, you can make a fidget at lunch today.  The Be Nice club members will have a table set up in the lunchroom...  Feel free to stop by and make a fidget.

The Club will also be sponsoring a fun active way to spread kindness on Thursday after school.  All students are invited to participate!  We will be painting rocks that we will then place around town spreading kindness.  The activity will be held in Ms. Conley’s room from after school until 3:45 and it is free to join.  IF you are going to stay, you must have a ride home!

NOTE FROM THE NURSE

May is Mental Health Month. This month, focus on things that you can do to boost your own mental health. One way - Simply going outside. Spending time in nature is linked to improved focus, lower stress, and better mood. There is even scientific research that supports this. So do your mind a favor and go outside every day!

Craft Club

There will be no Craft Club this week or next week. The next meeting will be on May 16.

It was an outstanding game with multiple opportunities to score and great goal play for both teams. Scoring goals for the Lady Dutch was Bella Campos (1) and Myla Martinez(1).
